Casting and filming interview content for Interview Pilot
Interview Pilot needed four believable corporate interviewers for its social ads, so we handled the whole thing from the first conversation to delivery, including the casting, the scheduling, the shoot and the edit.
About Interview Pilot
Interview Pilot is an AI interview assistant that helps you while the interview is actually happening. It listens for the question and suggests how to structure your answer based on your resume and the role you're going for, and when you're still getting ready it runs AI mock interviews with feedback and gives you a bank of more than 10,000 interview questions to practice with.
More than 450,000 people use it, and it holds a 4.8 star rating on the App Store from 784 ratings, which is a lot of people walking into interviews a whole lot more prepared. If you've got a job interview coming up, you can get it at interviewpilot.app or on the App Store.

What they needed from us
Their ads are built around the moment everybody dreads, which is sitting across from an interviewer who isn't buying what you're saying, so they needed real people on camera playing those interviewers. Interview Pilot cut the final ads themselves, so our job was everything that goes into the interviewer footage, from finding the actors all the way to handing over the finished clips.
How the job came in
The inquiry came through the LinkedIn Services Marketplace. After one call we sent over an agreement that laid out the whole job, which was four interviewers, a hundred pieces of content as the goal, their scripts and our casting and production, and it came back signed with the deposit paid on July 22, the same day we sent it.
Casting the four interviewers
The brief was a middle-aged to older corporate America look, two women and two men, all native English speakers. Three days after signing we submitted the casting to a talent agency here in the Lehigh Valley, and when the submissions came in we went through the audition videos and sent the client our top four to pick from, and they approved the whole group the next day.

Scheduling and the scripts
Getting four actors and the client on the same call took some back and forth, so we collected everybody's blackout dates and landed on one afternoon that worked for all of them. Interview Pilot wrote the scripts and the hooks, and they were clear about the tone they wanted, a strong hook and interviewers with "a slight attitude or on edge (like a cranky suspicious HR lady)."
The shoot
We filmed on Tuesday, August 25, over Zoom, for about five hours. I hosted the session and coached each interviewer through their lines so nobody came off robotic or monotone, and the client sat in on the call screen recording the app so the interface could be cut in next to the interviewers later.

Editing and delivery
From there we cut the recordings into short clips, one take at a time, and by September 3 all 84 of them were up on Frame.io in a folder for each interviewer, well inside the 60 days the agreement gave us. Interview Pilot took it from there and used the clips as supplemental footage in their own social ads.
If you've got an app or a product that needs real people on camera and you don't have a cast or a studio, give us a call and we'll walk you through how we'd put it together.
