Menu photos and the Instagram for Ma's Crepes and Cakes

Ma's is our family's organic creperie in downtown Jim Thorpe, so we shoot the food, run the Instagram and built the website ourselves.

Ma's Crepes and Cakes is on West Broadway in downtown Jim Thorpe, and it's a family business in the most literal way, because my mom's the Ma and she's the one making every crepe. It's all organic, sweet and savory crepes, bubble tea and organic espresso, in a little pink shop that honestly feels like you walked into a tea party. She runs the kitchen and we handle everything outside of it, so the photos, the posting and the website all come from us.

The menu photos

Every crepe on the menu got shot the same way, straight down on a white plate in soft light, so the website menu and the Instagram posts all match no matter which crepe somebody's looking at. Here's a good chunk of the menu, sweet and savory.

Posting on Instagram

The Instagram is mostly the food, plus the graphics people actually need, like the seasonal specials and the hours, since Jim Thorpe's a weekend town and plenty of people check the feed before they drive up.

The website

We rebuilt mascrepesandcakes.com in July with the same menu photos, so the menu online looks like the plates that come out of the kitchen, and the hours, catering and DoorDash link are all right there on the first screen.
